ENVOSTAR ADVANCED ARMOR began developing the current Enclosure Maintenance Tent System (EMTS) design in 2015 as a replacement for the old style used since the late 1940’s. ENVOSTAR EMTS incorporates the latest tension tent design and manufacturing technologies to provide the military with a multi-purpose weatherproof shelter for any operating environment. Additionally, the performance specifications we establish for the EMTS are some of the most stringent wind/rain/snow loading criteria any military tent system apply. The knowledge gained during the research and development of the EMTS helped shape the field requirements for today’s military tents.

The EMTS is a frame which lightweight shelter support, we design to provide units with a covered facility to conduct tactical maintenance operations. The EMTS is a modification of the Tent, Extendable, Modular, PERsonnel (TEMPER) where users can add extensions to the tent frame to add the height needed for enclosure of tactical vehicle and equipment. Our manufacturers modify the end walls with sliding fabric doors permitting total enclosure during conditions of extreme weather or blackout. The EMTS has 18-inch diameter duct openings in each of the 16 ft. intermediate fabric sections located below the windows. It also has similar erect/strike procedures to the Temper which may reduce the training requirements. Furthermore, the EMTS is 24 feet wide, 32 feet long, 15 feet high (at the centre), weighs 60% less than the current maintenance tent.

The Enclosure Maintenance Tent System (EMTS) provides rapid deployment and forward maintenance elements without sacrificing mobility/survivability due to its lightweight and ease of erection/strike. The EMTS can also be used as a cost-effective general purpose tent. The tent features a durable military specification design that is supported with spare parts in depot inventory.
